Dennis Wedlick AIA LEED is the founder of Dennis Wedlick Architect LLC (DWA), now BarlisWedlick Architects LLC, a full-service architecture, master planning, landscape and interior design firm based in Manhattan and Hudson, New York. The firm has built its reputation on its own brand of residential and community design: sustainable, expressive places to live and work that prize design, technology and craft. Alan Barlis officially formed a new partnership with Dennis Wedlick in January 2007. That year, their firm, Dennis Wedlick Architect LLC, changed in 2013 to BarlisWedlick Architects LLC, was chosen to be a part of the Architectural Digest 100 list of architectural practices. In 1997, Barlis graduated with a Master’s of Architecture degree from MIT and immediately began collaborating with Wedlick on the firm’s most complex projects.

Julie V. lovine is an architecture and design reporter, editor, and critic with an international reputation based on more than a decade as a features reporter and editor at The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine.
