About the Author

Peter set up the Bloomfield and Associates office in 1982. With an initial focus on small-scale community based efforts, his work has consistently grown into larger scale projects for both the private and public sector. An advocate for the role of the end user as an integral member of the design team, Peter’s projects have been published widely and are embraced by the community. His buildings fit comfortably in their context, wear well, and are built on budget. Peter took the design lead for the Wisconsin State Law Library in Madison and the Taft Education Center in Cincinnati.Mark joined Bloomfield & Associates five years ago after completing a fellowship at the American Academy in Rome and teaching in New York. Mark mastery of detail was honed by his years of experience on both large and small projects. His most recent project—Cox Radio in Orlando —was completed last year on time and on budget. Currently, he is working on a facility for Entercom in Greenville, South Carolina and Cox/WPXI TV in Pittsburgh.Vilma Barr, manager of BPES/Barr Publications & Editorial Services, New York, has over 22 years experience in the creation of over a dozen published books.
